Voice Of The Amazon

Chico Mendes was a brave and persistent rubber tapper who challenged the people and the institutions responsible for destroying the Amazon rainforest. Though he won international renown, his enemies made many attempts on his life and Chico was assassinated in December of 1988. This unique documentary contains Chico’s last interview, filmed only three weeks before his death.
