Seymour Airport in the Galapagos Islands is the world’s first ecological airport, designed to encourage tourism while protecting the environment of one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems.
In December of 2016, Steve Bullock gave bison the green light to roam more freely outside of the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park—home to America’s largest, continuously wild bison population. NRDC has long worked with our partners in the region to protect the Yellowstone bison and get them managed more like other wildlife.
